How Pennsylvania counts it
| One unit equals | Product type |
|---|---|
| 3.5 grams | Dry leaf |
| 1 gram | Concentrate |
| 100 mg of THC | Other forms, such as capsules, tinctures and liquids |
Dispensaries track your purchases against your supply limit in the state system.
The 90 day supply
A dispensary can give you up to a 90 day supply at once. During the last seven days of any 30 day period, you can pick up a 90 day supply for the next period.
Carrying your medicine
- Keep it in the package the dispensary gave you.
- Carry your ID card whenever you have it with you.
- Do not drive after using. Pennsylvania DUI law has no medical exception.
Mixing it into food
Dispensaries cannot sell edibles. A patient or caregiver can mix medical marijuana into food at home to help the patient take it. Keep anything you make away from children and pets, since it can look like ordinary food.
